SCOTTISH COMMUNITY DRAMA ASSOCIATION

Office Bearers of SCDA Caithness District

Chairperson: Alan Gerard
Vice Chairperson: Jayden Alexander
Secretary: Donald Farmer
Minute Secretary: Norma Craven

Treasurer: Audrey O' Brien
The SCDA aim to support and foster creativity in performance and writing throughout Scotland, support members and clubs in artistic, personal and social development, to develop links and partnerships throughout the theatrical world and the voluntary sector and to act as an advocate for community and amateur theatre.

Within the SCDA there are 4 divisions; Eastern, Highland, Northern and Western. Within these divisions there are districts which are defined by county. We as Wick Players are members of the SCDA and our location defines us as being a part of the Caithness District in the Highland Division. Each year, the association hosts a One-Act Play Drama Festival which both our adult and junior members regularly support and take part in and if fortunate, clubs move on to the "next rounds" of the festival.
You can contact the committee directly by emailing the Caithness District Secretary by email at dontfarmer@hotmail.co.uk.

Our Representatives

On the Caithness committee for the association, both Wick and Thurso Players have representatives which stand on their board to bring forward suggestions, make comments and to act as a voice on behalf of their club. For more information, you can visit the association's website www.scda.org.uk, or find the Caithness District on social media.
