If you would like to be a part of our magical journey down the yellow brick road and have chosen to register for a Principle Singing Role, we highly recommend also registering for chorus auditions. Why? Because in Oz, every voice matters and registering for both can increase your chances of being cast whilst keeping you right at the heart of the magic. Remember, chorus isn't just for the youngsters!
Whilst we would love to invite every adventurer to the Emerald City, unfortunately, the magic of Oz means that not everyone can be cast on this magical journey. Casting decisions are guided by the needs of the production and the balance of voices and characters required to tell the story. Unfortunately, this does mean that some auditionees may be unsuccessful, however, please remember that this is never a reflection of your talent, heart or courage.

What happens at the script reading?
Everyone attending will sit down in one big circle and will be provided with copies of the script.

If I register for an audition do i also have to attend the script reading?
Absolutely! Whilst you might be talented in the vocal aspect, the director needs to know that role you have auditioned for is suited to you from an acting perspective. This is important even if you have chosen to register for chorus as small speaking parts are up for grabs.
What if i don't get the part that i audition for?
You might audition for one role, but it may be that the director thinks you are more suited to another role. Whatever happens, don't be disheartened.
