Our Archive

 The Wick Players Archive is an ongoing project where we aim to record productions which we have performed over the years and of course, our success. In our clubrooms we hold scripts, programmes, photographs and lots more which depicts our large history and the success we have had over the years. We also have a range of our memorbilla open to the public within our local archive at Nucleus.

About the project

Phase 1.

Phase 2.

The beginning phase of this project includes the organising and separation of the archive content, such as separating materials into sections (i.e.- programmes and photographs. This also includes putting items into the correct order, starting from the earliest to the most recent.

This phase involves "archiving" and storing items. Special acid-free material stores items safely and securely, ensuring that items being preserved appropriately for the future. Whilst doing this it is also important or us to record a description of the items, as well as giving it a location (recording where it is stored).

Phase 3.

The third and final phase of the project is the digitisation of the items. This involves selecting various different pieces from the archives and digitally scanning them, eventually making them available to view free of charge to the public online at our 'digital archive'. This is a great way of preserving our history and making it available to the community.
