" They are the future of local community drama... "
Our junior group is a large and thriving section of young players between the ages of 12 and 16. As well as taking part in our subsequent Christmas pantomime, our group of youngsters regularly take part in the SCDA's One-Act play Festival, and in 2018 reached a milestone for Wick Players making it to the Scottish Youth Final in Plockton- a first for the junior section of Wick Players.
The junior players are supported by our dedicated adults who volunteer to lead them by holding regular open evenings and club nights which consists of drama activities, workshops and games. They benefit from the wealth of knowledge and skills held by our adult members and SCDA representatives. To find out more about our junior section and when they meet click here, or contact us here.

Child Protection
To ensure safety of all of our youth members, we have a number of child protection and safeguarding policies in place. In addition to this we have a Safeguarding Officer who is there to assist and oversee the activities being held for the junior section. On our committee also stands a Junior Representative, their role is to represent the junior section to the board of directors of Wick Players to make suggestions and to collaborate on their behalf . We are a registered organisation with both Volunteer Scotland Caithness Voluntary Group (CVG) and we co-operate with them regularly to ensure that all of our policies and procedures are up to date and are in adherence with current Government legislation.
